Violinist Park Eun Joo Rockin' Out @ SM City Davao

10:38 PM
Park Eun Joo Concert
July 19, 2013 - I was looking forward to watch this concert few weeks ago and as a music lover, this is a must-see event that I should never miss. Fortunately, I was texted by Ms. Apol of SM City Davao for a media press conference at BonChon. I gave this one a go and headed to the Annex area where the said resto is located. I saw my fellow blogger Naprey Almario and went inside BonChon.

We proceeded at their function room where the tables and chairs were arranged for a press conference. We sat and talked for a while. Minutes later, the manager, Ms. Bella Dimayuga came and talked to us. She told us if it's okay that we'll have the press conference after the concert. We suggested that we can have the press conference before the concert since it will be a quick one. We agreed to it and waited for few minutes. A little later, Park Eun Joo came and greeted us. She's indeed charming and so kind to us. She sat in front of us with her manager and started our press conference.

Charming! :D
Park Eun Joo was born in Seoul, South Korea. She first played violin when she was 5 years old and the reason behind it is because of her father who wants her to play the violin. Although she has other talents such as singing and dancing. She earned a Masters degree of Music at South Korea. No wonder why she knows her craft really well. She also appears in drama, commercials and performed lots of concerts especially Philippines. She told us that she'll play popular Filipino songs in this concert which made us so excited to hear them. She has learned them from her manager whom she fondly calls her as "mama."

Naprey, me, and Park Eun Joo
After the press conference, we had a chance to have our picture taken with Park Eun Joo. Together with Naprey, we posed for the camera. She left right after the staff of BonChon had their picture taken for her to prepare for the concert. We ate the Fish Taco from BonChon and it was yummier than before. We left the resto and headed to the atrium where the concert will happen shortly.

Before her concert officially began, we were serenaded by Ms. Juliet Bahala (left) with the songs from different broadway musicals. She sang On My Own from Les Miserables, Think Of Me from The Phantom of the Opera and Time to Say Goodbye. She flawlessly hit the high notes and it's just amazing to listen to her voice. It's like she didn't had a hard time singing them.

Few minutes later, Park Eun Joo played the violin from backstage going towards the stage. What made her an amazing violinist are the songs which are remixed from the usual slow tempo to a fast tempo complete with other instruments being played in the background. She played two known Filipino songs namely Ikaw and Anak which was again, remixed and gave her own rendition to the song which made the audience clapped into the beat.

What made me more amazed was when she ran around the Annex area where people were watching her, literally rocked the annex area with her music. The audience were up to their feet, clapping in the beat with her song. Her performance was electrifying that the audience cheered for her every end of her song.

She performed like it was a big concert and we were very satisfied with her performance. Her energy exudes the whole area. She was a lot different when we met her at BonChon. She was this calm and kind Park Eun Joo that we knew and adore. And when she's on stage, she's on fire, ready to give all what she got. She really is a musician and her energy was just beyond comparison. This was one concert that I'll never forget.

With that, I have a video of her performance and I do hope you'll like this one. Enjoy guys!

This is Park Eun Joo played her last song.

  4. The last music she played is what I like to listen to. Though her violin weeps but the rhythm seems to be a samba beat. I like it indeed.
