In his concert tour here in the Philippines, Casino Filipino Davao was one of the chosen venues and we were privileged to listen to his hit songs such as Born For You, King and Queen of Hearts, Got To Believe In Magic, and so much more!
To start off the concert, Steve Fernandez rendered us 4 songs to serenade the audience.
After his performance, David Pomeranz showed up at the back walking towards the stage and serenaded the audience with one of his hit songs.
He even introduced to us his guitar named "Johnny" Some of his songs were played using his guitar.
All throughout the concert, he told us stories about his songs and what made him create those songs. It's always interesting how sensitive and deep they were and apply them to a song. For sure, every composer has different reasons why they created that song. Like for instance, he composed a song for a popular singer but had problems on the way. The good thing was, that artist recorded that song and made it popular.
That artist was Barry Manilow and the song was "Trying To Get That Feeling" (Am I right? :D)
David Pomeranz didn't just played the guitar, he also played the piano! This was the part when he played "Born For You" which is one of his popular songs. Throughout the concert, the audience sang with him and it's a proof that they love his songs. Well, I also love his songs and they were amazing!
If others can sing a song while tapping, he also did the same thing! This shows how versatile he is. The important thing is the rhythm and with that rhythm, you can sing a song out of tapping an instrument you can find. David Pomeranz did sang great while tapping an instrument.
For the last song (actually, it was an audience who demanded for more! :D), he sang a Tagalog song that everyone was familiar about. Since, Christmas time is near, he sang "Pasko Na Sinta Ko" by Gary Valenciano. It was so good!
After the performance, the audience gave a standing ovation. It was one of the best concerts I've been in my life. The bloggers and their companions were also delighted to see him perform here in Davao. The best thing was, we sat in the front row! Lucky bloggers!
Of course, I would like to thank Pal Raine for the invitation, MediaNation and Casino Filipino Davao! You made the event possible. It was indeed a concert to remember.
